Dive Notes:

Current is very strong making for a difficult, but doable dive. All divers had to get down fast and hug the bottom behind the little bit of reef relief for fish counts. Mappers went in first to locate the benchmark areas and team followed 12 minutes later. We find benchmarks #1 and #2 and attempt to clean them off, but the metal poles are rusting badly and #2 had fallen over on substrate. We see lobster, midnight parrot fish, and a large goliath grouper hanging out under one of the reef ledges north of benchmark #2. Once off the bottom, the team had to surface with minimal safety stop, because the current was moving us too far north and away from the protected dive area.
