Dive Notes:
The team used the boat Running Free to conduct fish counts and take invertebrate monitoring video on the southern half of Sugar Sands. This 17 ledge artificial reef is located in Lake Worth Lagoon north of Blue Heron Bridge. Fish counts were taken on ledges 2, 4, 6, and 8. The water was green from recent rainwater runoff, and a stiff southeast wind kept a chop on the lagoon and held the tide longer than normal. Boat traffic was intense over the ledges, as the sea state on the ocean kept boats in the lagoon.
